Inspired by one of Hawthorne Christmas quotes, this holiday card is designed with a few lines of sentiment taken from his English Notebooks, illustrations from a 19th century edition of his children's story, The Snow Image, and an engraving of him reading to his two eldest children, Una and Julian, from a 1922 magazine clipping.
